हे अर्जुन! मैं सम्पूर्ण जगत का निर्माता, पालनकर्ता एवं संहारक हूँ| मुझसे सर्वोच्च कोई और नही है । यह सम्पूर्ण जगत मणियों के सदृश मुझमें ही गुँथा(जुड़ा) हुआ है॥ मैं जल में रस हूँ, चन्द्रमा और सूर्य में प्रकाश हूँ, सम्पूर्ण वेदों में ओंकार हूँ, आकाश में शब्द और पुरुषों में पुरुषत्व हूँ॥
